Issue:
When you try to apply signatures onto the file via Foxit eSign feature, you may see a pop-up message as below.
The main reason why you received this notification message is that the eSign service require a separate subscription license which your current subscription plan/license key of Foxit PDF Editor does not include the Foxit eSign.
We do offer a bundle of both Foxit PDF Editor Pro and eSign called Foxit PDF Editor Pro + which can be purchased as a yearly subscription on our shopping page here: https://www.foxit.com/shopping/
Solution:
For users who just need ink-based signatures to complete the part of the signing process, you may turn into Fill&Sign feature under Protect tab, which is an internal tool allowing users to create their own hand-write/typed/imported/pasted signatures.
Also, there are two approaches to hide the Foxit eSign tab to prevent this message showing again.
- Go to Help, Foxit Plug-Ins, find and turn off the Foxit Sign plugin.
- Check the “Disable all features which require internet connection” in General section under Preferences.
Both these two operations will take effect after you restart the program.
For users who are interested in a high-level secure, similar to the regular Ink-Sign (Fill&Sign) but better, fully automated electronic signature solution, you can take a glance of our cloud-based Foxit eSign tool. With Foxit eSign feature, you can easily send/track and also manage your signature process with your teammates. For more information, please visit our homepage here https://www.foxit.com/esign-pdf/ and purchase the subscription plan as will not be promoted next time after signing in to Esign in Foxit PDF Editor. In addition, you can also access Esign via the browser by signing in to https://foxitesign.foxit.com/.
Note: This article is applicable to Foxit PDF Editor for windows version 12.
