Here are some best practices to consider when deploying Foxit PhantomPDF for macOS. This document follows a sample deployment method using Jamf, all steps are intended for best practices only.
- (Optional, if using Composer) Run Jamf Composer, selecting Normal Snapshot.
Enter name of the Package:
Wait until Snapshot is ready:
After this screen, install Phantom PDF using regular installer process. Open PhantomPDF, configure the product as required, copy the license to the following location:
Note: The license must be named “fpmmkey.txt”
Once the App configuration is ready, click “Create Package Source”
Remove any unnecessary folders captured by the snapshot process:
Once verified the package has only required capture elements, click Build Package and choose “Build as PKG. “
- Login to Jamf Now:
Add Package name:
For this Demo on deployment concept, “Open Enrolment” is used:
Add profiles on client computer:
Verify if the package has been successfully installed.
- Jamf PRO (Package Policy):
Add “Display name”
Next, navigate to Packages and click “Configure”
Next, upload the Package of Foxit PhantomPDF. After uploading, choose installation method as per your environment default configuration.
