While you are trying to access iManage Work from within Foxit PhantomPDF with the iManage Filesite client 9.3.6 already installed and configurated on your computer, you may still come into the following error message:
The Work extension library is not registered. Please install iManage Work client.
The problem occurs when the 32-bit of iManage Filesite libraries were not successfully installed on a 64-bit operating system, however Foxit PhantomPDF requires the 32-bit of Filesite libraries for accessing iManage work.
Normally, the 32-bit of iManage Filesite libraries won't be installed automatically by default if iManage Filesite client installer itself doesn't detect the ‘Adobe’ installation folder and ‘Adobe’ registry key during installation on a 64-bit operating system.
You need to do the following steps to create an ‘Adobe’ folder and ‘Adobe’ registry key manually ,then reinstall iManage Filesite client again to make its 32-bit libraries to be installed:
1:Create a temporary ‘Adobe’ folder, for instance C:\Acrobat
2:Press Windows +R keys on keyboard to open the Run dialog box,enter regedit in the Open: box and select OK to open Windows Registry Editor.
3:Create the following key chain in Windows Registry Editor:
4:Under InstallPath ,please set the value of the (default) key to the temporal adobe folder. For instance:
5:Uninstall your installed iManage Filesite client and reinstall it again to make its 32 bit libraries to be installed.
6:Open Foxit PhantomPDF,go to File>Open>Add a place>iManage Work to work on PDF documents in iManage Work.
