While you are trying to access iManage 9 from within Foxit PhantomPDF with the iManage Filesite/iManage DeskSite client already installed and configured on your computer, you may still come into the following error message:
The Work extension library is not registered. Please install iManage 9 client.
The problem occurs when the 32-bit of iManage Filesite/iManage DeskSite libraries were not successfully installed on a 64-bit operating system, however Foxit PhantomPDF requires the 32-bit of Filesite/DeskSite libraries for accessing iManage 9.
Normally, the 32-bit of iManage Filesite/DeskSite libraries won't be installed automatically by default if iManage Filesite/DeskSite client installer itself doesn't detect the ‘Adobe’ installation folder and ‘Adobe’ registry key during installation on a 64-bit operating system.
You need to do the following steps to create an ‘Adobe’ folder and ‘Adobe’ registry key manually ,then reinstall iManage Filesite/DeskSite client client again to make its 32-bit libraries to be installed:
1:Create a temporary ‘Adobe’ folder, for instance C:\Acrobat
2:Press Windows +R keys on keyboard to open the Run dialog box,enter regedit in the Open: box and select OK to open Windows Registry Editor.
3:Create the following key chain in Windows Registry Editor:
4:Under InstallPath ,please set the value of the (default) key to the temporal adobe folder. For instance:
5:Uninstall your installed iManage Filesite client and reinstall it again to make its 32 bit libraries to be installed.
6:Open Foxit PhantomPDF,go to File>Open>Add a place>iManage 9 to work on PDF documents in iManage 9.
Note: the solution is only available for iManage DeskSite client. If you have iManage Fiesite client installed,you also need to install iManage DeskSite client.
